Dr. Amrita Ghatak, Assistant Professor, GIDR has won the prestigious Professor VKRVRao Memorial Prize for the Best Thesis in Economics.This prize founded by Institute for Social Economic Change (ISEC), Bangalore, has been conferred on Dr. Ghatak for her thesis on “Health, Laboursuppy and Wages: A Study in West Bengalâ€.This thesis has been adjudged as outstanding among all the theses submitted during 2009-2014.
