Dr. Nisha Pandey, Director of GIDR, had the privilege of representing the institute at the Brainstorming Session on the Ahmedabad-Gandhinagar Science & Technology Cluster, organized by the Department of Science & Technology, Government of Gujarat. The session took place on Friday, 13 December 2024, at the Conference Room of Gujarat Informatics Limited (GIL), Karmayogi Bhavan, Sector 10, Gandhinagar, Gujarat.The meeting, chaired by Ms. Mona Khandhar, IAS, Principal Secretary, Department of Science & Technology, focused on the ambitious initiative to establish the Ahmedabad-Gandhinagar Science & Technology Cluster. This initiative aims to integrate academia, R&D laboratories, startups, and industries to create a dynamic ecosystem for innovation and collaboration.Dr. Pandey actively participated in the discussions, which highlighted the cluster's vision of fostering a knowledge-driven hub to address local and global challenges. By leveraging synergies among institutions and stakeholders, the cluster seeks to empower researchers, students, and enterprises, further advancing Gujarat’s prominence in the Science, Technology, and Innovation (STI) landscape.The session provided an excellent platform for exchanging ideas and exploring collaborative opportunities, reinforcing GIDR’s commitment to contributing to transformative initiatives in science and technology.
